At TiniTasker Inc. ("TiniTasker," "we," "our," or "us"), your privacy matters. We respect your right to control your personal and business information and are committed to protecting it according to Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use TiniTasker's services, including our:

1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve our service.
a. Information You Provide
When you use TiniTasker, we may collect:
- Business information — business name, address, province, and tax number
- Account information — name, email address, password (hashed), and role
- Billing information — subscription details, payment history (processed by Stripe, not stored by us)
- Uploaded files — attachments, receipts, images, and documents uploaded to your workspace
- Communications — support requests, feedback, or responses to surveys
b. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use our app or web portal, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information
- IP address and location (city/province level only)
- Date, time, and usage patterns (for performance and troubleshooting)
- Error reports and logs (via BetterStack)
- Push notification tokens (via FCM, for mobile alerts)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide, improve, and support our services, including:
- Managing your TiniTasker account and organization
- Generating and sending invoices, estimates, and notifications
- Handling payments and subscriptions (via Stripe)
- Sending emails (via Resend)
- Providing technical support and product updates
- Monitoring system performance and preventing abuse
- Complying with legal and tax obligations in Canada
We do not sell or share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your data is stored securely on DigitalOcean servers located in Toronto, Canada. We use a PostgreSQL database with role-based access control and encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Uploaded files are stored in DigitalOcean Spaces (S3-compatible object storage).
Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to maintain or support the system. We regularly monitor for unauthorized access and maintain audit logs.
4. Data Retention
- Your active data is retained for as long as your subscription is active.
- After you cancel your subscription, your data remains available in read-only mode for 2 years.
- After 2 years, we may permanently delete your data from our systems.
- You can request early deletion by contacting [email protected].
- We may keep minimal records (e.g., invoices or tax documents) as required by law.
5. How We Share Information
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate TiniTasker, including:
- Stripe – payment processing
- Resend – email delivery
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – push notifications
- BetterStack – monitoring and logging
- DigitalOcean – secure hosting and file storage
Each provider complies with strict privacy and security standards. We do not share data outside Canada unless required for essential service functionality, and only with providers offering comparable data protection.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in,
- Improve app performance, and
- Understand basic usage patterns.
You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may stop working properly if you do.
7. Your Rights
Under Canadian law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you,
- Request corrections to inaccurate data,
- Withdraw consent (where applicable), and
- Request deletion of your data.

We take data security seriously. TiniTasker uses:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers
- Hashed and salted passwords

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
9. Children's Privacy
TiniTasker is designed for use by businesses, not individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
